Polar Opposite

I've happened to realize the only time that blogging appealed to me is at late nights (today being an exception). Everyone always talks about having 2 A.M. thoughts; but, in all honesty, for me my 2 AM thoughts consist of wanting to clean up my room and doing "chores" to find a way to become productive... that and my weird cravings for spicy foods at night (don't ask). I believe it's time that you all need to know a secret about me. I really prefer wearing casual and comfortable clothing at all costs, with only a few occasions where I want to dress up. Let's face it, being girly all the time is so boring and it's always fun to experiment with the polar opposite of the spectrum.

There's honestly something appealing to me about wearing flannels regular t-shirts, and I would wear it all day if I could. Unfortunately, this story dies short, I had only owned 2 flannels. "Had" because I just added a new baby to my not-really-a-collection of flannels. Flannels are essential closet must-haves for me, because I can literally pair it over any casual top and throw on any denim bottoms and walk out the door. So that's exactly what I did. I paired my light washed green and gray flannel over a casual graphic tee. To finish off the look I added a pair of ripped denim shorts and a pair of black caged booties, and I accessories with silver and black metal pieces.

For these outfits I wanted to keep the brand's original concept of the "Street Look". Skeptiks is a brand of affordable aesthetic clothing (under 20$) that so kindly e-mailed me asking me to style their pieces and of course I found no reason not to. I received a navy blue crop top with their logo on it, and the Los Angeles Black Tank. I wanted to give the outfits a little more edginess by pairing them with gold heavy pieces. I did this by adding gold chained necklaces and bracelets to both outfits. As for the bottoms, I paired them with more casual items to allow for these street looks to be transformed into something anyone can wear. The same lace shoes are paired with both outfits as I wanted these two outfits to have a similar best-friends type of attire.
